Mingle

A pantry clean-out,
and a question about everyday flavour.

Mingle began in 2016 after founder Jordyn cleared out her pantry and took a closer look at the ingredients in her everyday seasonings. The idea was to make home cooking easier and full of flavour through ready-made blends.

A familiar egg dish or piece of toast can take a different direction simply by changing the blend. That everyday flexibility is why we offer several flavours together.

LE CARACTÈRE

Garlic at the centre,
with a light herb accent.

Garlic & Herb puts garlic at the centre, supported by herbs and spices. Where Everything offers a broader mix, this blend is a useful choice for a garlic-led dish. Mixing a little with oil or softened butter makes it easier to spread thinly on bread.

Rather than piling dry seasoning onto toast, distribute it through a little oil first. Warm briefly and watch the surface so the garlic and herbs do not burn. It also works as a simple addition to mushrooms or potatoes.

MINGLE · À TABLE

Garlic and herbs for bread and potatoes

The published blend combines garlic and onion with thyme, basil and parsley, among other ingredients. Sprinkle a little over buttered or oiled bread before toasting, or use it when tossing vegetables. Taste the blend before adding more seasonings.

Try it while toasting our baguette or campagne. A slice can become an accompaniment to soup or salad, with the amount of seasoning adjusted to your taste.

UN GESTE SIMPLE

Garlic toast, two slices at a time.

A simple serving idea from BORISSOU PARIS. Add a little, taste and make the meal your own.

  1. Mix a little seasoning with oil or softened butter. Check the flavour before adding salt.

  2. Spread evenly on one side of thin baguette slices, avoiding thick clumps at the edges.

  3. Warm until lightly coloured, watching closely. Serve warm beside soup or salad.

UNE AUTRE ASSIETTE

Garlic and herbs beside mushrooms.

Sauté mushrooms until excess moisture reduces, then add a little Garlic & Herb seasoning. It is a convenient way to bring those aromas together.

For toast, keep the mushrooms from becoming too wet. Toss lightly and taste before increasing the seasoning.

  • Cook the mushrooms first, then begin with a little seasoning.
  • Account for any salt in the butter you use.
  • Follow the storage label and keep moisture out of the remaining seasoning.

BON À SAVOIR

Good to know.

Can I use fresh garlic as well?

You can, but the garlic flavours will combine. Taste the seasoning on its own first, then add fresh garlic only if you want more.

When should I add it to vegetables?

Mix it with oil before roasting, or toss a little through cooked vegetables. Watch dry seasoning in a very hot pan, where it can burn quickly.
